What are some great Rock artist that I can get into that not heavy metal or aggressive?

Hm... let me think. Well, I like to listen to Def leppard and ACDC, than there's Guns N' Roses, and Aerosmith. Foo Fighters... All Time Low, Boys Like Girls, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Blink-182, Coldplay, The cranberries, The Db's, and Finger Eleven are people I can think at the top of my head.
