Is a large hamster cage good for a finch?

No, the bars on the cage are not close enough together, the bird could get out. Finches are not birds that you can handle, they can't really be trained like a budgie or atiel. Why don't you just get a budgie?? They cost less than $20.00 and you can interact with them much better than a finch.
